A. Contact your doctor/healthcare professional to find out if they are a Lifestyle Innovations member. You may also use our Find a Provider search option available on our home page. If you do not find your doctor listed or no one is available in your area, please have your doctor contact us to become a member.

A. Lifestyle Innovations is designed to give you a closer relationship with your doctor/healthcare professional when you’re not in their office. Your doctor/healthcare professional will be able to monitor your progress and correspond with you right on your account.



3. Q. What is Lifestyle Innovations approach to weight loss? _top


A. Lifestyle Innovations understands that each person who uses our program is unique. Each individual user loses weight differently, which is why our program is designed to be customized to you. A plan can be customized by your condition and/or your ideal level of weight loss.



4. Q. Why should I choose Lifestyle Innovations? _top


A. Lifestyle Innovations does not teach you how to survive by diet and weight loss, but teaches you how to thrive by developing a healthy lifestyle. We want you to understand the importance of getting enough exercise, in addition to making smarter food choices. We don’t offer only a few food plans like fad diets--you customize your plan with the help of your doctor or other healthcare professional.



5. Q. I don’t feel comfortable going to the gym. How can Lifestyle Innovations help me? _top


A. Lifestyle Innovations recommends that you exercise to increase your level of weight loss. We offer videos by certified personal trainers of simple exercises that can be done in the privacy of your own home. You can also print out a detailed description of how to perform an exercise with pictures to give you guidance. No exercise machines are required, although we do suggest that you have a small set of hand weights and an exercise ball.



6. Q. How do I know what to eat while on a Lifestyle Innovations Plan? _top


A. Lifestyle Innovations allows you to chart your weekly meal plan using recipes designed to fit your condition and/or weight loss goals. All recipes can be printed (as can your weekly chart) and many offer video instruction by a registered dietician. During these videos, you’ll not only receive tips on how to make your meal, but also learn why certain aspects of that meal are helpful to you.



7. Q. Do I have to buy meals through Lifestyle Innovations? _top


A. No. Lifestyle Innovations does not offer packaged meals. We do, however, suggest that when grocery shopping you buy organic items. We also offer an easy way to generate your shopping list from your weekly meal chart.



8. Q. How does Lifestyle Innovations determine my caloric intake? _top


A. Lifestyle Innovations determines this by your Basal Metabolic Rate. Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the number of calories your body burns at rest to maintain normal body functions. It is the amount of calories per day your body burns, regardless of exercise. It changes with age, weight, height, gender, diet and exercise habits.

A. Yes. Lifestyle Innovations will help you make informed decisions on what to eat while dining out.



10. Q. Is it possible for my family to eat the foods on my meal plan? _top


A. Absolutely! Your family will also benefit from the healthy choices you’ll be making.

A. Lifestyle Innovations does not require you to buy any products or supplements.
